SpeedTech 997.1Sport Muffler set. T-304 stainless steel, straight through design - reduces weight compared to OEM by 5 lbs., improves power and throttle response. Sport sound slightly louder than OEM. Best when paired with Hi-Flow cat pipes. Nice upgrade in sound with perfect fit.

When you install our "Sound Valve" Mufflers, you can adjust your sound level from "Sport" to "Race" at the touch of a button from the drivers seat. When closed these mufflers are slightly louder than stock and provide a tasteful sport sound - hit the switch to open the valves and they turn to an aggressive exhaust system for those spirited drives! This system offers the best of both worlds in terms of sound. T304 stainless steel construction and straight through design improves power and throttle response. Perfect fit.

997.1 "Sound Valve" Mufflers

SpeedTech 997.1 X-Pipe w/ cats

Our 997.1 X-Pipe creates a fantastic GT3 type sound for your 996 and improves power, as well as, the throttle response. They can be ordered with 200 cell catalytic converters or as cat bypass "RACE" pipes (no cats). Race versions are for off road/track use only. By combining the exhaust pulses from both sides of the Porsche boxer motor with an "X" at the center of the muffler, we have created a scavenge effect to help speed the flow of gases, as well as, developed a unique, exotic sound that has to be heard to be appreciated. Our trademark sound is well known and highly respected throughout the industry. Approx. 6 lbs. weight savings and 10HP improvement over OEM. Our choice and highly recommended for the 997.

Speed Technologies 997.1 Twin Exhaust Tips are available in Polished or Matte Black finish. They are constructed of T304 Stainless Steel and are a nice upgrade in looks from the standard OEM tips. These tips fit all 997.1NA cars, except those with the PSE exhaust.
